Features

Everything a team needs to share a calendar, inside Slack.

A Slack calendar app built around the way teams already work — channel-scoped calendars, Slack event cards, automatic Slack calendar reminders, an App Home agenda, OOO tracking. The team calendar app for the channels your team is already in.

Calendars

Channel-scoped calendars built for the team that lives there.

Every Scalendar calendar belongs to a Slack channel — scoped to that channel, with the same membership and the same audience. Public channels, private channels, multi-team channels — they all work the same way: the shared team calendar lives where the decisions happen, and everyone in the channel sees the same dates at the same time.

  • The right audience, automatically. Channel membership equals calendar membership — events go to the people who care, nobody else. In a private channel calendar, only the people in the channel see the events.
  • Formal calendars and free-for-alls, side by side. Lock the release schedule down so only leads can edit it, then let the whole channel chip in on team rituals — same product, two postures.
  • Onboarding new joiners is automatic. The moment someone joins the channel, they see what's already on the calendar — no "here's the link" message, no separate handoff.

Events

Slack event cards for everything a team plans together.

Standups, launches, leave days, demos, all-hands — the things teams actually need to plan around. Every event you add lands in the channel as a Slack event card the whole team can see, the moment it's created.

  • Color-coded event categories. Tag events by type — launch, ritual, leave, social — and let the colour-coding tell the team what the week actually looks like at a glance.
  • Multi-day events that span the actual window. Off-sites, code freezes, conferences, week-long OOO — give an event a real start and end and it takes up the actual window on the calendar.
  • Always know who put it there. Every event card shows its creator, so follow-up questions go to the right person instead of into a thread nobody reads.

Reminders

Slack calendar reminders the team can't miss.

Slack event reminders post in the channel before every event — automatic, default 15 minutes before, tuneable per event. No standalone reminder bot, no human in the loop, no more missed meetings because someone forgot to send the ping.

  • Sensible defaults out of the box. A reminder 15 minutes before every event, posted in the channel — whether you set it up or not. Change the default per calendar, per event, whenever.
  • Stack as many as you like. 1 day before, 1 hour before, 5 minutes before — match the rhythm of the event, not someone else's defaults.
  • Personal DM pings (coming soon). Opt-in private nudges on top of channel reminders — for the events you genuinely can't miss.

Slash commands

Schedule it the moment you think of it, right where you're already typing.

Type a Slack calendar command in any channel and the work happens — no menus to dig through, no separate app to load. Capture plans the second they come up, before they fall out of someone's head.

  • /calendar create — start a fresh calendar in the channel you're already in.
  • /calendar add — drop a new event in under thirty seconds.
  • /calendar view — see what's coming up, filtered to this week or this month.
  • /calendar help — forgot something? we've got you.

App Home

A unified calendar view in Slack — every channel, one App Home agenda.

The Scalendar Home tab in Slack rolls up every channel calendar you can see — sorted, dated, ready to click. A unified calendar view, with no hunting through channels to find the next meeting.

  • Your next seven days, all at once. Every channel calendar on one App Home agenda, sorted by when things happen.
  • One click into any event. Jump straight to the channel and conversation — no scrolling sidebars, no remembering names.
  • Know where you stand. Plan and usage on the same screen — no digging through settings to see how many calendars you've spun up.

The rest of the kit

All the bits you'd expect, plus a few you wouldn't.

New 🌴

Annual leave & OOO tracking

A Slack out-of-office calendar in any channel. See who's off, when, and for how long. Multi-day events render across the full date range — a team OOO tracker without the spreadsheet.

🏷️

Color-coded event categories

Tag events by type, then filter the channel's calendar by tag. The cleanest possible weekly roll-up.

🛡️

Permissions that fit your team

Creators edit their own events. Channel admins edit any. No accidental overwrites, no untraceable changes.

Soon 🔁

Recurring events

Schedule daily, weekly, or monthly cadences once. The calendar handles every instance after — including the exceptions when life happens.

Soon

RSVPs

Know who's actually coming before the meeting starts. Going, Maybe, or Not Going — one click per event.

Soon 🌍

Timezone smarts

Every event renders in each viewer's local time. Distributed teams stop doing mental math at the start of every standup.

Soon 📎

Event attachments

Zoom link, agenda doc, slide deck — pinned to the event itself. Never lost in a thread, never expired in an invite.

Soon 💬

Event threads

A dedicated discussion thread on every event. Decide before the meeting, capture decisions after — same place every time.

Soon 📤

iCal export
